Handling & PPE

Wear eye protection, gloves and a dust mask when handling lime. Avoid breathing dust. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash exposed skin with water and mild soap.

First aid

Eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Skin: Brush off dry material, rinse with water. If irritation occurs, seek advice.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

Spills & storage

Avoid release to the environment. Sweep up spills carefully to minimize dust. Store in dry, well-ventilated areas on pallets, away from moisture and acids.
